Social media is a must for anyone that’s into publishing online. Social media platforms allow you to syndicate content, make connections, and hopefully get more eyeballs on your content.
I’ll be honest. I don’t use social media as much as I should, but I am experimenting with it and working my way in. In the meantime, here are links to my profiles and a few thoughts about how I use them.
Rockin’ Photogs on Tumblr. This is probably the site I’m most active on. I set it up to syndicate every post I make on Rockin’ Photogs, but I also go on at least once a week or so to post some photos that I’ve taken.
My Pinterest Boards. I want to get into Pinterest. I love the idea, because I love photos. But, after an initial burst of activity, I don’t do much here. Maybe that’ll change.
Rockin Photogs on Twitter. Yeah… I’ll admit, this is just syndication. I want to get more involved. I just can’t.
Tech And Teaching on Twitter. Same thing. It syndicates, but I don’t do a whole lot. For education, especially, I want to engage with Twitter. Someday.
Slideshares. I was heavy into Slideshare for a month or so. I’m going to get back into it this summer. I love the potential of Slideshare for content marketing… I just ran out of time to build presentations worth putting up.
